The target audience for Peter is a niche one. This type of music/artist doesn't normally appeal to a mass market, as they often don't have the budget to do so.
The audience age is slightly older than the mass market audience, aimed at more of a young adult - mid thirties group. The genre of music tends to attract quite an arty audience, who enjoy being immersed in unknown music and film, and who care more about the content than the popularity of the band.
They are always looking at the image of the band and therefore Peter has to keep fashionable and orginal to get respect and interest from this audience. It's not about a performance element in the video, this audience want to see a range of weird costumes with feathers and animal ears. Peter's music helps build Jerad's extremely complicated image which no one, including himself, will ever really understand. All he can do is keep wearing the latest trends and hope for the best.
This is Carla, more widely known as Carla_Bear. She is a serial blogger and hardcore music fan, being in a 3 part band herself, where she plays the Ukelele. She wasn't a fan of Peter at the start, but discovered him by chance at an art fair before he made it big.

As a musician herself she really admires the fact that Peter writes his own songs and is heavily involved in the creation of his music and new video. She even takes inspiration from his work when writing her own songs.
Carla wouldn't be so bothered if Peter went mainstream, as she has grown out of that way of thinking, but it still annoys her a little bit when false and fleeting fans turn up to concerts, who care less about the music and more about the party. However she will remain loyal to her artist and buy the entire back catalogue as his career develops.
